The TF 450-X powerhouse, developed in the heat of competition, delivers 62.4 PS at 9,500 RPM thanks to its advanced SOHC 450cc engine. Engineered for the racetrack, Triumph’s higher-capacity motocross model features premium components including a forged König piston, Del West titanium valves, and DLC-coated internals that ensure maximum durability and efficiency. Lightweight magnesium covers and a fully machined combustion chamber enhance high-RPM stability and responsiveness. With Triumph Factory Racing’s 450 debut in AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross in 2026, and progression from MX2 into the FIM MXGP World Championship in 2027, the bike continues to evolve through top-level racing. For MY27, a new torque-focused calibration and extensive clutch and gearchange upgrades further improve performance. Designed with racing in mind, the TF 450-X boasts premium components including a forged König piston, Del West titanium valves, DLC-coated components, lightweight magnesium covers and a fully machined combustion chamber. These deliver exceptional strength, low friction and high-RPM stability. MY27 upgrades, including new valve guides, revised rocker shafts and a new torque-focused engine calibration, enhance durability and broaden torque delivery for stronger drive off the gate and in deep terrain.

IN-HOUSE-MACHINED PRECISION ENGINEERING

The TF 450-X engine is fully machined in-house for the most premium level of production. Components such as the fireface, combustion chamber, ports, seats and guides are created with high levels of refinement for optimised airflow and efficient combustion. CFD-perfected coolant routing maintains stable temperatures during long motos, while the compact head design provides ease of serviceability for rapid maintenance between sessions.

MY27 CLUTCH & SHIFTING UPGRADES FOR FASTER GEARCHANGES

Finding the perfect feeling from finger to foot is important, and therefore a new clutch pack with upgraded bearings and hose improves engagement feel, heat resistance and durability. A comprehensive gearchange improvement package includes a new selector fork, drum, star, detent arm and selector shaft combined with a new gear lever, which delivers smoother, more precise shifts under load, improving confidence when fighting for victory with the tightest of margins.

ATHENA GET ENGINE CONTROL

Co-developed with Athena, who have an abundance of experience competing at the highest level and work closely with Triumph Factory Racing on our AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross race bikes, the ECU manages ignition, traction and launch strategies with race-proven precision. Two standard engine maps offer full-power and softened delivery modes, while the optional Wi-Fi module and MX Tune Pro app unlock ten additional maps for next-level tailored power character, throttle response and engine braking. Customising the TF 450-X to the rider’s personal preferences with technology enjoyed by the pros couldn’t be easier.

HIGH-FLOW INTAKE SYSTEM FOR MAXIMUM AIR DELIVERY

A high-flow intake system with a Dell’Orto throttle body and Keihin injector ensures superior atomisation and crisp response at all throttle openings. The tool-free airbox and Twin Air filter maximise airflow and protection in demanding conditions, supporting consistent power throughout the moto and making rapid servicing easy, even on the most challenging motocross days.

FACTORY-LEVEL KYB SUSPENSION FOR PRO-LEVEL CONTROL

For the most sublime comfort, feeling and confidence, the TF 450-X features a race-developed KYB suspension package for exceptional stability in the deepest sand right through to the gnarliest blue groove and hard-edged bumps. The 48 mm AOS coil-spring forks, with new fork guards, and three-way adjustable rear shock feature updated MY27 settings, providing improved balance, damping control and rider feedback. New tool-free adjusters enable fast, trackside suspension tuning to suit changing conditions, while maintaining precise front-end feel and controlled landings. Thanks to decades of development with some of the world’s best athletes, the KYB suspension package is tuned for the most intense conditions with adjustability to provide all riders with a premium and bespoke set-up for comfort, traction, and the confidence to push harder, lap after lap.

The Air-Oil Separation system keeps damping consistent under repeated high-load impacts, while precision-tuned valving and a 50 mm-piston rear shock deliver a precise front-end feel, stable traction and controlled landings.

D.I.D DIRTSTAR WHEELS & PIRELLI MX32 TYRES

Lightweight, high-strength D.I.D DirtStar 7000-series aluminium rims deliver a high level of durability under repeated race-pace impacts and provide consistent handling feel in the toughest conditions. Paired with race-proven Pirelli MX32 mid-soft tyres, the package offers exceptional grip, predictable slide behaviour and strong braking traction, giving riders confidence and control in soft-to-intermediate terrain and technical sections.

PRECISION-TUNED NEKEN TRIPLE CLAMPS

Lightweight 7075-T6 forged clamps have been designed to provide sublime stiffness to give the rider sharper steering, better front-end feel, and smoother tracking through technical sections. The result is a precise, responsive feeling in rough sand, right through to tough rhythm combinations and the gnarliest of hardpack terrain.

The TF 250-X and TF 450-X feature a 960 mm seat height that provides a confidence-inspiring, race-ready standover for rapid line changes, aggressive corner entries and stable control through ruts and jump faces.
